The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has sacked the local government chairmen of Akuku-Toru and Ogu/Bolo, Mr. Tonye Alalibo, and Mrs. Daisy Tamunoene respectively.
The chairmen were said to have been relieved of their positions today because they failed to participate in the events that would improve the cultural development of their various local government areas.
Though no official statement had been released by the state government on the development, it was gathered that the governor wished them well in their future endeavours.
