JUST NOW: President Buhari is not sick - Information Minister

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has denied some media reports that President Buhari's ill health caused his absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting today.

Some Nigerians were already speculating that President Buhari might be seriously ill, hence his absence from the meeting.

However speaking with state house correspondents after the FEC meeting chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Lai Mohammed said President Buhari is not sick. He said President Buhari is hail and healthy and was carrying out other state functions during the FEC meeting. Lai added that it isn't compulsory for President Buhari to attend every Federal Executive Council meeting.
