The Purpose of Sex

The first couple that had sex on earth was the first parent of humanity- Adam and Eve. Let examine their story to explore the purpose of sex.

 Companionship

Adam was lonely in the Garden of Eden. Every other creature of God had a partner but it was only Adam that was without a partner. God created Eve for him so that he c
ould have a close relationship that involved sexual intercourse.

So why should you have sex with somebody you don’t want to have a close relationship with? Don’t try it, never try it. If you do, you will be giving part of your life, mind, to somebody that you will not spend the rest of your life with.

Do you know God has to personally conduct the first marriage on earth on Adam and Eve?

18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Oneness

Sex makes the man and the woman to become one

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.-Gen. 2:24

Do not get involve in sex with a person that you don’t want to become one with. When once you have sex with another person part of your life is given to that person. Sex brings likeness, resemblance that is why you see a couple looking alike after long marriage. Sex is for relaxation, pleasure, release of pressure and enjoyment only in marriage.

Procreation

God want the earth to be filled with people so he has deposited seeds of people inside the man and woman, the only way the people would come to the earth is through sexual relationship that result in pregnancy and childbirth.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.Gen 1:28

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.Genesis 4:1
