THAILAND TRAGEDY: 8-year-old teenager found in a canal near his parents' house
An eight-year-old boy was found dead in a canal near his parents’ rented house in Samut Prakan province, Thailand on Monday morning, May 1.
The body of the boy identified as Tawan Faramee was found in Klong Bang Sao Thong in tambon district, at about 7.30am.
His father Chainarong Faramee, 42, notified police on Sunday evening that he had disappeared. He said his son normally stayed with relatives in Mukdahan but was living with him during the school holidays.
Chainarong said his son left the house after being upset by his mother. He and his wife thought the boy would return after calming down but when he had not returned by Sunday evening, he notified police. Neighbours spotted the on Monday morning.
