The brute, 22, had attacked Ashleigh and held her head under a stream after showing up at her house in Bracknell, Berkshire, in December unannounced.
Ashleigh triggered the motion-sensor camera on her Astra VXR when she stormed out to confront Cann, who she had been dating for two months, on her drive.
The 25-year-old had asked the thug to turn his engine off as it was late but Cann suddenly exploded – yelling at Ashleigh and accusing her of bedding other men.
Harrowing footage shows the yob running over Ashleigh’s foot -breaking it – as she screams out.
Cann then bundles her into the car and speeds off.
After crashing into a ditch, injured Ashleigh tried to run but Cann dragged her into the woods by her hair and battered her.
She said: “He hit me with a log then plunged my head into a stream and held it under.
“Then I heard him ring my sister and shout that he was killing me and would kill himself afterwards.
“I was in the middle of nowhere and convinced I was going to die.”
Ashleigh finally managed to escape the two-hour ordeal when she ran on her broken foot for over a mile and was found by police, who praised her quick-thinking when she handed over the footage.
She was rushed to hospital and was told she would need an operation to repair permanent damage in her foot.
Ashleigh has now urged other women to have dash cams fitted in their cars for safety, explaining: “If I hadn’t, my attacker may never have been sent down.”
he victim added: “Watching the footage brings back horrific memories but it proves what a monster Jack is.”
Cann was caged for 56 months after admitting GBH, making threats to kill, dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.
