                                Soldiers rescue 19 women, 19 children along Nigeria-Niger border

Troops of the 8 Task Force Division have rescued 19 women and 19 children who were previously held hostage by terrorists in Dumba village, in Borno State. According to a statement released by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the troops have successfully neutralized 6 Boko Haram insurgents in the state while others fled with gunshot wounds, leaving behind 22 motorcycles, flags and other items.

The statement also added that the operation cleared pockets of insurgents from their hideouts in Momo and Tunshe villages around Marte general area of Borno state.
