Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall speaks up about devastating battle with anorexia
Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has opened up about her devastating battle with anorexia.
The singer, 23, makes the candid admission in the girls' new book Our World.
She reveals she developed the eating disorder when she was 13 and had to be admitted to hospital after she dropped to a worryingly thin 6-stone.
Jade says it was a culmination of bullying, problems at home and also losing a cherished family member.
"My periods stopped and things were getting out of control but I don't think I really cared about what was happening to me. I felt so depressed at the time that I just wanted to waste away and disappear," she admits.
