A British banker who killed two prostitutes in Hong Kong tortured one of his victims for days before making her lick the toilet and cutting her throat, a court was told today.

Rurik Jutting , 31, even filmed the degrading of his victim on his iPhone, the country’s High Court was told.

                                 
The former trader pleaded guilty to the manslaughters of sex workers Sumarti Ningsih, known as ‘Alice’, and Seneng Mujiasih, known as ‘Jesse’, when he appeared in court.
                                   
But he denied their murders on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Prosecutor John Reading told the court the manslaughter plea was not accepted and the case would proceed to trial on the murder charges.

Both victims were found in Jutting’s high-rise apartment close to Hong Kong’s infamous Wan Chai party district in November 2014.

Ms Ningsih, 23, was found stuffed into a suitcase on Jutting’s balcony, having been dead for up to a week.

Ms Mujiasih, 26, was found dead hours after meeting Jutting for the first time. Both women had had their throats cut.

Mr Reading said Jutting tortured Miss Ningsih with sex toys, his belt, his fists and a pair of pliers.
